Overview for Office 2007 (available inclass and online): This short training will give you a heads-up in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint 2007. By completing this training, you will not only be up to speed with the latest technology but you will also be entitled to purchase a personal copy of Office Enterprise 2007 at a drastically reduced rate of $9.95 ($600.00 + retail value).

Outlook 2007 Overview (available inclass and online): Immediately increase your productivity by attending this Microsoft Outlook 2007 Overview. The workshop covers the following topics: how to send, receive, and organize your emails; recalling emails sent in error, schedule meetings and appointments; use the Contacts panel, create distribution lists; manage tasks; set up Rules and Delegates (proxies); and work with archives.

Outlook 2007 Advance: This training is designed, to get further into the functionality of Outlook 2007. Topics include a review of the frequently used features in email and calendar as well as Search, the To-Do Bar, sharing your calendar, editing and managing items in your calendar, creating and publishing Internet calendars, personalizing and adding color categories to any type of information, and managing your mailbox.

Access Introduction: Do you keep lists of the same information in variety of formats because you need to see it in different ways? Increase your efficiency by learning Access 2007, a Microsoft program that makes creating databases easy, even for people with little knowledge of database design. This 3-hour hands-on workshop covers the basic functions and features of Access, where you'll learn how to create tables with fields, records, user-friendly data entry forms, queries, labels and reports.

Excel Introduction:Learn how to create informative and eye-catching spreadsheets as well as how to use built-in mathematical formulas to quickly and automatically calculate statistics. This will be accomplished through the demonstration of workbook creation, navigation and worksheet data entry at a user-friendly beginner level.

PowerPoint Introduction: Do you need to create simple but professional presentations for your work using text, graphics, tables and charts? This slow-paced 3-hour workshop covers the basic functions and features of Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. You will learn how to create a new presentation, insert and change layouts to slides, manipulate text, format the presentation using themes and the Slide Master, change background colors, and work with objects such as Clip Art, pictures, graphics, and shapes. You will also learn many tips on how to create effective PowerPoint presentations.

PowerPoint Intermediate: This workshop is designed for individuals who wish to learn more about Microsoft PowerPoint 2007. It builds on the skills and concepts taught in Introduction to PowerPoint 2007. During the course, you will learn how to:  insert and format charts and tables, work with SmartArt, create WordArt titles, add slide transitions and custom animation. Then you'll develop advanced skills such as inserting sound, video, action buttons, timed transitions, and hyperlinks. Finally, you will learn about presentation distribution options including PDF and HTML, how to publish your presentation on a Web site or even take your PowerPoint shows on the road.

PowerPoint According to Zen: Are you currently making slide presentations that leave you wanting something more? We challenge you to think differently and more creatively about the preparation, design, and delivery of your presentations. By combining principles of design with the tenets of Zen simplicity, this 2-hour hands-on workshop will help you along the path to simpler, more effective presentations that will impress and connect with your audience.

Word for Faculty: Make the most of your limited time. The ability to utilize applications to their full functionality is essential toward efficiency and success in creating the many documents faculty use at Daytona State College. Learn the skills you need to optimize the benefits of Microsoft Word 2007, thus allowing you to easily create professional documents that reflect the quality of your work and enhance your value to the college. In this workshop, you'll learn how to: create and modify styles, create and format sections, create and format tables, convert documents to PDF as well as work with graphics and web features such as hyperlinks. You will also learn how to use document collaboration tools to track revisions, use reference tools, and work on long documents requiring table of contents, headings, footnotes and endnotes, citations and bibliographies.

Word for Staff: In our current academic environment, strong communication skills paired a firm understanding of the applications you use every day is invaluable to the staff members at Daytona State College. Learn the skills you need to optimize the benefits of Microsoft Word 2007, thus allowing you to easily create professional documents that reflect the quality of your work and enhance your value to the college. In this 3-hour hands-on workshop, you will learn how to: create and modify styles, create and format sections, create and format tables, print labels and envelopes, use mail merge, work with graphics and web features such as hyperlinks. You will also learn how to create and work with forms.
