Season Outlook
The 2011-12 Falcon Basketball program will have plenty of big shoes to fill. Anthony Andre, starting his 5th season as the head coach, has built a foundation of academics first, athletics second and the investment is paying off. The team finished 2nd in the Mid-Florida conference and winning for the second year in a row the prestigious Hal Casey Award for the best student athlete in Men's Basketball in the state. The Falcons are gunning for another Mid-Florida championship and to have the best basketball academic team in the state.
Only 3 returning players are back for their sophomore years, Damarkco Foster, Ja'Quan Jones, and Darius Hall will lead the young falcons this year.
There are a couple of transfers who will be counted on for their experience to help the freshman figure it out. They are Jabbar Reid from Tyler Junior College and Jarod Leonard from Embry Riddle University. These two young men bring much needed experience.
The freshman; Warren (Theo) Plowden from Orlando, Florida, Joseph Harrell from Albany, Georgia, Devin Steel from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Emory Bernard from Atlanta, Georgia, Corey Shaw from Selma, Alabama, and Rasha Evans from Tampa, Florida are talented but young.
