DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Jan. 13, 2010) – Daytona State College’s School of Music, Entertainment and Art presents: "The Art of Fake Fight,” in which participants will learn how to punch, kick, slap, bite, scratch, push, tumble and wall slam just like in the movies. The free weekend workshop will be held Saturday, Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 24 from 1 to 4 p.m., and is open to the public. The workshop instructor is Daytona State College Director of Theatre, Geoffrey Kershner, whose Barrymore Award nominated fight work has been seen in more than 20 theatrical productions and two films.
The workshop culminates on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 3 p.m. with demonstrations by participants – the community is invited to attend, admission is free.
The workshop will be held in the Davidson Theater at the News-Journal Center, located at 221 N. Beach Street, Daytona Beach.
