Daytona State to offer Bachelor’s Degree Information Session

(DAYTONA BEACH, FL) – Oct. 13, 2011 - Explore options for your future and learn about bachelor’s degree opportunities during a free information session being offered by Daytona State College on Nov. 1 from 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Faculty, academic advisors and student support staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding programs, admissions, financial aid, scholarships and more. The information session will take place in the Hosseini Center (Bldg. 1200) on the Daytona Beach Campus, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd.

Daytona State offers bachelor’s degrees in business, education and engineering technology, using instructional methods that include in-class, online and a combination of both:

  • The Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET) is the college’s newest degree offering. With concentrations in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) and Information Systems Technology (BSIST), this degree is designed for students who already have an associate degree. Graduates are prepared to practice engineering in the areas of product improvement, manufacturing and engineering operational functions.
  • The Bachelor of Science in Education (BSED) degree is designed for students who already have an Associate of Arts degree and want to teach in the K-12 system. Daytona State offers bachelor’s degrees in five education fields: Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, Secondary Biology Education, Secondary Mathematics Education and Secondary Earth/Space Science Education.
  • The Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management (BAS) degree is designed for students who already have an associate degree. Students in the BAS program will learn the essential components of supervision and management, including the skills needed to assume more responsibility in their field.
