Science Seminar: The Laurel Wilt Epidemic in the S.E. USA - The Loss of the Lauraceae
Presented by the School of Biological and Physical Sciences at Daytona State College. This one-hour seminar examines how laurel wilt has caused substantial, widespread mortality of redbay (Persea borbonia) trees in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Lecture is free and open to the public.

Fourth Annual Academic Symposium
The theme of this year's Academic Excellence Symposium is "Creation through Collaboration". The focus is to open discussions concerning cross-disciplinary actions that are currently being used or those that are being investigated, in order to produce students who are ready and able to become successful in the workforce of today and tomorrow. The symposium will also address the question of how we as colleges and/or universities are able to provide a foundation for future success for our students through the creation and/or implementation of cross-disciplinary courses and programs.
