SPRING BREAK CAMP 2012

Community Access
The Daytona State College Aquatic Center is open to the community. To make it more convenient to patrons, we have developed daily, four-month and yearly rates. The paperwork and payment can all be done at the Aquatic Center. Access fees are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and subject to cancellation.

Access ID cards will be issued to all individuals with membership access to the Aquatic Center. Upon each visit to the facility, all individuals must present their ID card and sign in at the desk before entering the pool area.

*The Aquatic Center will be closed on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day

Lemerand EntranceFeatures
The Daytona State College Aquatic Center features a 25-yard X 25-meter indoor competitive pool, heated to a comfortable 82 degrees. The facility is humidity and climate controlled to ensure a pleasant environment both in and out of the water year-round. There is a 4 foot shallow area and a 12.5 foot deep end. On most days, there are up to 6 lanes available for lap swimming. The Aquatic Center is located on Daytona State College's Daytona Beach Campus in Building 310.

 

GuardAccommodations
The Aquatic Center is designed to accommodate instructional, recreational and competitive activities. Lap swimming is available. A certified lifeguard is on duty at all times and the pool is handicapped accessible with both a ramp and a hydraulic chair lift. The Aquatic Center staff is available for assistance with the use of these devices, however, they are not trained to perform transfers.

 

 

Pool KidSwimming Lessons
The Learn To Swim program is an American Red Cross program designed to teach all ages to swim and be safe around aquatic environments.
The program is broken into seven levels, starting with water adjustment skills and advances to competitive stroke perfection. Water safety is stressed and taught to all students.
*All of our instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors.

The Daytona State College Swim Club will resume in September. Register for the Swim Club in the Aquatic Center building 310. See you there!
